The North Tower room is the largest in the Gryphon House and it boasts a beautiful view of the Charles River and MIT campus across the water. It's on the fourth floor so it is not suitable for guests who have difficulty climbing stairs. The decor has both Eastern and nautical flavors as if it were the home of a Victorian sea-faring captain who imported treasures from the Orient. North Tower has a semi-private sleeping area with a queen bed and has a day-bed in the living area so it can accommodate a family with two children (but not four adults.) The bathroom is luxurious with a deep tile-accented tub and separate glassed-in shower. Like all of the Gryphon House rooms it has a sitting area and dining area, hardwood floors and custom upholstered furniture, a gas fireplace and air-conditioning. Amenities include a 42" flat screen HDTV, DVD and CD players, and free wireless internet access, a refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and electric kettle. There is abundant dish and glassware and cutlery. For our guests convenience we provide plush bathrobes, hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel as well as irons and ironing boards.
